Kan Singh Ji was the eldest son of Tikayat Farsaram Ji, a noble of high standing in the Bikaner court. He was born into a family of warriors and statesmen, and carried forward their legacy with great honor. He was celebrated for his sharp mind, battlefield acumen, and loyalty to the Bikaner throne.
In Vikram Samvat 1736 (1679 CE), Kan Singh Ji achieved a historic military victory by defeating the combined forces of the Balooch, Kandhari, and Kabul armies who had invaded the region. His unmatched military command and courage led Maharaja Anoop Singh Ji of Bikaner to award him the Jagir of Badi Sawai in recognition of his service to the kingdom.

In recognition of his loyalty, bravery, and statesmanship, Kan Singh Ji and his descendants were granted feudal control over 14 villages. His sons and grandsons carried on the traditions of military service and administrative leadership. These villages are:
To commemorate his lifetime of service and heroic legacy, a cenotaph was erected and a statue of Kan Singh Ji was formally installed on 10th December 2010 (Vikram Samvat 2066, Magshar Shukla Panchami). This was made possible through the contributions of the descendants of his feudal line and the communities of the associated villages.
