Ravi Purohit
Ravi Purohit (born 5 June 1968) is an Indian poet, writer, translator, editor, and cultural contributor known for his work in Rajasthani and Hindi literature. He has published widely across genres including poetry, short stories, essays, children’s literature, and translations. He is also recognized for his academic and institutional contributions to literature and education in Rajasthan.
Ravi Purohit was born on 5 June 1968 in Bikaner, Rajasthan, India. He completed his M.Com. in 1989 from Maharshi Dayanand Saraswati University, Ajmer, followed by an M.Phil. in Hindi literature in 1991. In 2010, he earned an M.A. in Rajasthani literature from Maharaja Ganga Singh University, Bikaner.
Research Assistant at the Desert Development Research Institute, Jodhpur (1989–1991).

Governmental and non-governmental efforts in folklore preservation

He has presented and published several short research studies and participated in academic guidance programs under various scholars.
