Warrior Profile
In the early 18th century, the Bhatis of Jaisalmer occupied land belonging to the Dhandhal Rathores of Chochra.
The Rathores summoned Ratan Singh, son of Raghunath Singh from Bisu Kalan, for mediation.
The Bhatis insulted him and dismissed his advice.
In response, Ratan Singh performed Traga (sacrifice) by stabbing himself 21 times, declaring that the boundary between the Bhatis and Rathores would be marked where his blood was shed.
His memorial (Chhatri) still stands near Dharvi village on the Jaisalmer-Barmer border
