Anand Singh Manana
Aanand Singh Manana
During the time of the Battle of Ahmedabad, he made a significant donation of food grains (annadaan). He had a large business in Kathiawar and owned 5,000 camels.
Earlier, the area was called Sojat Bhatiyani ka Kheda, which was later renamed to Basni Manana. This region spanned over 15,000 bighas.
Aanand Singh brought the deity Hinglaj Mata from Narnadi. He originally came from Narnadi. When all the food supplies had run out during the war, he donated food freely to the army. Pleased with his act of generosity, he was granted this land as a jagir.
Aanand Singh was the eldest son of Thakur Bhopat Singh of Narnadi.
Initially, he was granted the village of Paal as a jagir, which he held for about 20 days, but due to certain reasons, he returned it.
Later, he was granted the village of Basani.
