Shri shri 1008 Khaki ji Maharaj was inclined towards solitude and was deeply thoughtful from childhood. Although his body was healthy, his mind was always focused on the unseen/spiritual realm.

Near his dhuni, there are two neem trees which still stand today. A saint once told him, "Do not grow too big (in ego)." Without saying anything in response, he went into a state of deep meditation. Miraculously, both neem trees still exist in that exact state today.

Local people believe that circumambulating (parikrama) these neem trees fulfills one’s heartfelt wishes.

At the time of his passing (Mahaprayana), he had already indicated to his devotees the exact place where he would leave his body.

According to records, on Shravan Shukla Gyaras, Vikram Samvat 2067, he attained Brahmalin (merged with the divine). At present, his disciple Shankar Das Ji resides at the ashram.
