Tikai Shivnath Singhji Kalyanpur
Shivnath Singhji was a prominent figure in the princely state of Bikaner during the late 19th and early 20th centuries. He served as the Tikayat Rajguru Purohit and was a contemporary of Maharaja Ganga Singh of Bikaner. Known for his administrative skills, social work, and influence in the royal court, Sheonath Singhji played a significant role in the governance, development and military vision of the state. He was the father of Tikai Bhairon Singh ji, a revolutionary and prominent personality.
He was the only son of Tikai Rambaksh Singhji and grandson of Tikai Amed Singhji. Being the senior most in his clan, he rose to prominence as the Tikayat Rajguru Purohit, a position of both cultural and political significance in the Bikaner royal court. This title not only denoted authority but also entrusted him with advisory responsibilities and the execution of state duties during the Maharaja's absence. in 1919 he vacated Junagarh fort and built his own Haveli, and Purohito ro baas by establishing both Sewad and others.

Seonath Singhji held considerable influence in the court of Bikaner. Trusted by Maharaja Ganga Singh, he frequently managed the administration of the fort and the city whenever the Maharaja was away. His leadership was marked by firm decision-making, effective coordination, and loyalty to the Bikaner state. In 1916, Sheonath Singhji proposed the creation of a dedicated infantry unit named the "Rajguru Purohit Company". This military unit was intended to serve the state of Bikaner exclusively. He emphasized that the company would participate in battles within India for the protection or interests of Bikaner but would not take part in conflicts outside the country. This proposal reflected his commitment to regional loyalty and self-reliant defense mechanisms.
Shivnath Singhji was also known for his charitable activities and commitment to social welfare. He was widely respected across Bikaner for helping the poor and the needy. He had given financial aids to people throughtout his life. His humanitarian work earned him lasting admiration among the people of the region.
His legacy continues to be remembered for its unique combination of leadership, administrative acumen, military foresight, and social service.
