Jasoji
Jaso Ji was a Rajpurohit general and nobleman in the army of Rao Siha of Marwar during a historic battle against Lakha Bhati at Bet Dwarka. He is remembered for his bravery and martyrdom alongside several other Rathore warriors.
Jaso Ji was the uncle of Dev Pal Dev Ji, another notable Rajpurohit figure. He belonged to the Sewad clan of Rajpurohit Community and served as a general under Rao Siha, a prominent ruler of the region.
A significant conflict took place between the forces of Rao Siha and Lakha Bhati at Bet Dwarka (an island near Dwarka, Gujarat). JasoJi was one of the leading generals in Rao Siha’s army during this battle.
The battle resulted in heavy casualties for both sides:
Bhati Dalpat, a key figure in Lakha Bhati’s army, was killed.
Jaso Ji, along with five other Rathore generals and 240 soldiers, attained martyrdom.
